I posted to my collectors-subscribers a text which relates the life of my ancestor, Pierre Bruneau, an extract from the 2nd volume of the work entitled Les Bois-Francs, written by the abbot Charles-Édouard Mailhot, and published in 1914.
We learn that Pierre Bruneau spent a few years with the Serpents tribe where he acted as an interpreter. He was also seen alongside Alexander McKenzie during one of his expeditions in Western Canada. An American river even bears the name of Bruneau!
