Skins
My mailings sometimes allow me to experiment with new materials, which is particularly the case for this shipment. Here I worked using pigskin sticks that dogs chew… After soaking them in water, I let them to dry on a flat surface. I then cut out the skins in the shape of a hand, and then finally delicately glued small hairs between the thumb and index finger of each hand.
Very organic all that. The object fits on a base and becomes a small sculpture!
