A contemporary moucharabieh
The juxtaposition of old polished razor blades, like those used by my father at the time, are reminescent of a moucharabieh motive, which I found highly intreaging for this sort of object. And of course not to forget how the razor blade is directly associated with the notion of danger. I have to say that I find this concept quite interesting, and gives me further ideas such as the production of a razor blades curtain that would have to be crossed to enter an exhibition space.
