Whiplash
The work created in November 2024 could not be mailed until December, due to the Canada Post employees’ strike. The conflict is still not resolved but services resumed a little before Christmas. Negotiations will resume in May.
Sometimes you have to whip yourself to stimulate the imagination. The whip is an interesting object in that it can embody an object of torture or pleasure depending on context and who uses it. I am always looking for these figures that carry double meanings.
I take a mischievous pleasure in creating images, objects or spaces that modify or transform perception, particularly through phosphorescence.
